Before the Holidays I made a few seasonal wishlists for a Want It! Wednesday feature. Since the holidays have come and gone I thought I’d share a quick follow up to that post and share some of the wonderful gifts from December (and because if I wait another day it will become stale). Not that gifts are the most important part of the season…but just a fun perk.
(I know it’s Thursday but it’s a Wednesday for me. Close enough.)
cheers!

I thought I’d share something a little different this week since we’re coming up on the holidays (so quick!). I made two little wishlists for Santa…the first is if money were no option, and the second is a bit more realistic.

cheers!

Ok kids, I’ve held out as long as I could. I promised myself I wasn’t going to fold under a weak will and start posting pictures of puppies everyday so I’m just going to get it all out here, in one foul swoop.
This Christmas, like many-a-Christmas past I will ask (read: plead) for a puppy. I will ask Santa, my boyfriend, my parents, strangers at Target. Anyone. And like each year before, I will be greeted with yet another puppy-less Christmas. I know they’re expensive. I know I can’t “technically” have one where I live. I know my schedule is kind of crazy. Yet, I don’t care.
I. Want. A. Puppy-Friend.
So although I know this year my pleads might yet again fall on deaf ears, I will live vicariously through The Daily Puppy and continue my life-long pursuit to have a puppy of my own.
cheers!

I seem to have a terrible habit of breaking all my headphones. Mostly due to me rolling over the chord next to my chair one too many times. In the middle of searching for a new pair I came across these bad boys. UrbanEars are just lovely and basic with a great range of colors and models. Even the photography and styling is gorgeous. I’m digging the color on color look that is used throughout the brand.
cheers!

I’m not a huge fashion buff (read: total t-shirt & jean girl) but I have always loved Kate Spade, and her new book “Things We Love” looks so gorgeous and fun. Then again, I’m just a sucker for anything with gold foil.

Local Minneapolis maker, Martha recently launched a fall line on her site Scarf Shop and it’s just gorgeous. Martha’s hand-dyed scarves come in tons of lovely colors and 4 sizes…all the way up to Giant (um…48″ wide x 108″ long). Along with scarves, she also has a lovely little jewelry shop called Uniform Natural which is filled with very geometric, minimal pieces.
Also, I’ve been playing around with a few prototypes for some new shop items so I thought I’d share a little peek. I like how these ones look inside a frame…still deciding on what kind of frame and playing around with more colors but so far so good! I need to test a couple more ideas first but what do ya think…any color combos you’d like to see?

cheers!

Today’s feature is fellow Etsy seller and stellar illustrator, Erica Sharp. Her shop is called Miss Paper Cuts and is filled with feminine and super sunny paper cuts. So sweet! I’d love to have one on my studio wall someday.
cheers!

Ned and I both have an extreme weakness for any home & kitchen accessory store. I think it’s something about all the little gadgets…there’s always something new. And if there’s one thing that Europeans do well (aside from rediculously tasty baked goods) it’s creating the best little home & kitchen shops. We stumbled into a few in Germany when I came across this adorable little puppy bank by Cilio! I almost can’t handle how much I want it. Maybe it can be used to save for my future pup?
(Apologies for the poor iPhone pics. Someone let me know if you find better ones online somewhere.)
cheers
